David
Marr
David Marr is the chief creative force
behind Marrvelous Films, a San Francisco based independent
film and video production company. Since 2004, this alumni
of the American Academy of Dramatic Arts has written, directed,
edited and produced over a dozen short film, commerical and
video projects.
In addition to filmmaking, he has performed on stage as
well as in film and video, and has written numerous screenplays
and teleplays as well as authored an unpublished book of
poetry called Dead
in the Heart. His influences
in filmmaking include Hitchcock, Almodovar, Billy WIlder,
David Fincher, Steven Spielberg and Francis Ford Coppola
Marrvelous
Films have been featured in numerous festivals and contests
including the 48
Hour Film Project, Zeitgest International Film Festival
36 Hour Film Experiment, Tax Cut Online Super
Sweet Refund Contest, John Morrell Pimp My Grill
Contest, and Life's
Good When...Contest.
Due to a growing and supportive viewer audience,
Marrvelous Films continue to be watched by thousands of people
each week on sites such as YouTube.com, UndergroundFilm.com,
and Jaman.com.
David Marr has also
been awarded the Editors Choice Award on Crackle.com and
is a featured producer on the MetaCafe.com Director's
Cut channel.
In response to requests and solicitations for film and video
production work, in early 2007, Marrvelous Films LLC was
registered as an independent film production company operating
in San Francisco, California.
